Notes and Tips

Here are some tips for preparing the lamb kebab recipe perfectly:

Spices: It is recommended to slightly toast the spices without any fat in a pan, to bring out all their flavor, before adding to the meat.

What to accompany the Lamb Kebab with? They can be accompanied with pita bread and a tzatziki sauce, made with yogurt, chopped cucumber, a drizzle of half a lemon, garlic, EVOO, and mint leaves cut into julienne.

Use good quality lamb meat: make sure to use fresh, good quality lamb meat to get optimal flavor and texture.

Proper marinating: marinating is key to flavoring the lamb meat. Let the mix of meat, spices, and vegetables soften for at least 30 minutes, or even better, overnight. This will help the meat become more tender and tasty.

Don't forget the vegetables: vegetables add flavor, texture, and a bit of freshness to the lamb kebab. Try with onion, green and red pepper, and garlic to start.

Heat the grill or pan well: make sure to have the grill or pan hot before cooking the meat, so that it cooks evenly and has a good crunchy texture on the outside and soft on the inside.

Don't forget the sauces: sauces can add great flavor and a bit of moisture to the lamb kebab. Try tzatziki, tomato sauce, hummus, or any other sauce you like.

Serve the kebab hot: make sure to serve the lamb kebab hot for maximum flavor and texture. Enjoy with your friends and family and bon appetit!
