Hello Foodies! Today you'll learn to prepare muffins with whole wheat flour and unrefined cane sugar. Let's make: Healthy Whole Wheat Muffins.
For this recipe, we used panela, whose only ingredient is cane sugar juice. Unlike normal white sugar, it is not subjected to any kind of chemical process or refining. That's why it's a type of whole sugar that we can use as a natural sweetener, providing us with essential nutrients and not empty calories, as is the case with white sugar.

Ingredients for Healthy Whole Wheat Muffins for 2 people
- Whole wheat flour - 250 grams
- Eggs - 2 pieces
- Unrefined cane sugar panela - 200 grams
- Vegetable milk - 225 ml
- Cinnamon - 1 large spoon
- Olive oil - 60 ml
- Baking powder - 15 grams
How to make the recipe Healthy Whole Wheat Muffins
- The first thing we'll do is put the two eggs and the panela in a bowl. We mix them vigorously and at a good speed with the help of a whisk.
- Then we add the milk and the extra virgin olive oil and continue beating.
- Finally, we add all the dry ingredients, which are: whole wheat flour, powdered cinnamon, and baking powder. We will mix everything again until everything is well integrated.
- We pour this mixture over the muffin mold. In this case, we have used a soft silicone mold, so it will be very easy to remove them and unmold them later. But if what you have is a rigid mold, you can pour a little olive oil on it so the muffins won't stick.
- Finally, we will put it in the oven for 20 minutes. The oven should be preheated to 190°C or 375°F.
- And watch out for those in a rush. Because before eating them we must let them cool down to room temperature so that they acquire the right consistency.
