Hello Foodies! We're going to show you a recipe that couldn't be easier and quicker. It's perfect for breakfasts or snacks when you want something special and tasty, but without taking up too much of your time. We're going to prepare: Microwave French Toast.
But wait! Last week we shared a delicious recipe: Rabbit with Rice, which is part of an initiative.
Ingredients for Microwave French Toast for 1 person
- Large egg - 1 piece
- Bread - 1 cup in pieces or 2 or 3 slices
- Banana - 1/2 small piece
- Margarine - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable milk - 3 large tablespoons (the vegetable milk of your choice)
- Maple syrup or honey - 1 small tablespoon
- Cinnamon - 1 small tablespoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 tablespoon
- Ground nutmeg - 1 pinch
How to make the recipe Microwave French Toast
- The first thing we will do is cut the bread into cubes.
- Then, put the margarine in a bowl and heat it in the microwave for about 15 seconds or until it melts.
- Next, we add to that melted margarine an egg and we beat it with the help of a fork. We break the eggs in the same cup as in Spain consuming the egg as it comes out of the shell is not a problem, but if in your country they do not advise doing this, follow the usual precautions there.
- Then we add the rest of the ingredients. These are the milk, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey and we beat it all again until it is well mixed.
- In a deep dish we put the pieces of bread and over this we pour the previous mixture. And we will stir it very well for about a minute or until the bread has absorbed everything, but be careful not to be too harsh so that the bread does not break too much.
- Once the bread is well soaked, we put it inside a cup.
- Now it will be the turn of the microwave, we will put it between 60 to 90 seconds, or until the mixture is solid. We have used a 1250 watt microwave and have it between 60 and 90 seconds, as we have seen that in this type of microwave those measures are perfect. But it is possible that you will have to test to find the right cooking time for your microwave.
- Once cooked, we wanted to accompany it with a little more cinnamon, a drizzle of honey and some slices of banana.
