Hello, Foodies! Today we want to show you how to prepare tandoori carrots, a different and very healthy dish that is really simple and quick to make. You can have them as a main course if you're looking for a light dish, or as a side to a more substantial ingredient, like meat or fish.
Whether you're a vegetable lover or not, but you force yourself to eat them, in our vegetable recipes you'll find many different ideas. From classic dishes like menestra, which we add ham to give a richer flavor, to other ways to eat vegetables like this asparagus puff pastry with brie cheese in the oven. There are vegetables and ways to cook them to suit all tastes.
The carrot is one of the most versatile in the kitchen. It can be eaten raw, cooked, baked, grated in salads, in puree, or in desserts, as the main ingredient of the most famous cake.
Furthermore, it's one of the first foods that children start to eat in puree. Not only for its taste but also for its very beneficial properties for health. It stands out for the large amount of vitamins it contains (particularly vitamin A), as well as for improving vision, protecting the heart, and contributing to weight loss.
On this occasion and as you can guess by the name, with these tandoori carrots we want the flavor to evoke memories of Indian cuisine when you eat them. The yogurt and spices will provide an intense flavor and a unique aroma.

How to make the recipe Tandoori Carrots with Yogurt Sauce
- We start by preheating the oven to 347°F. Next, we peel the carrots and set them aside. In a bowl, we pour some of the creamy yogurt, lemon juice, a pinch of cumin, curry, salt, white pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil. We mix everything well and set it aside.
- In an oven dish, we place the peeled carrots and pour over the yogurt mixture that we had reserved in the bowl. We coat them well, using a brush. We put the tray in the oven and let the carrots cook for about an hour or until they are soft when pierced, as it will depend on their size.
- To plate, we put several tablespoons of creamy yogurt, some fresh cilantro leaves, and the carrots on top in the chosen dish.
