  • Diced Serrano ham - 75 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese - 75 grams
  • Eggs - 3 or 4 units
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - A pinch
  • Pepper - A pinch

How to make the recipe Broccoli Pie

  1. The first thing we are going to do is cook the broccoli. We separate the stem from the flower, as their cooking times vary. This is very important so that you don't have parts that are too soft and others that are too hard. The flower will need about two and a half minutes of cooking time and the stem should be at least double, reaching five minutes.
  2. Once we have done this, we cut the flower into more or less similar pieces so that the cooking is as uniform and homogeneous as possible.
  3. Then, we peel the stem and also cut it into dice or similar-sized pieces.
  4. To cook it, we will put the stem in boiling water with salt. Once two and a half minutes have passed, we add the broccoli flower and wait for a total of five minutes.
  5. Once this time has passed, what we will do is put it in water that we will have prepared with ice and salt. When it has cooled we strain it and remove the excess water. And we already have the broccoli cooked!
  6. To continue with the pie, we will prepare a dish suitable for the oven and we will spread it with olive oil.
  7. Next, we add the cooked broccoli, over it the diced ham, the chopped onion and we beat three or four eggs and pour them over. Finally, we add the mozzarella, salt, and pepper.
  8. To finish, we put it in the oven for 30 minutes, which should be preheated to 356º.
