Ingredients for Shrimp Chilpachole for 4 people

  • Ancho chiles - 5 pieces
  • Tomatoes - 2 pieces
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Onion - 1/4 piece
  • Chicken broth - 2 tablespoons in powder
  • Oil - 1/4 cup
  • Shrimp broth - 1 tablespoon in powder
  • Crab meat - 750 grams
  • Fish broth - 1 liter
  • Limes - to taste
  • Shrimp - 500 grams
  • Epazote - 1 sprig

How to make the recipe Shrimp Chilpachole

  1. We remove the veins and seeds from the chilies. We roast them
  2. In the blender cup, we place the tomato, chilies, garlic, broth, onion, and one cup of fish broth. We blend everything so that it integrates and we set it aside.
  3. In a large pot, we heat our oil and fry the sauce we blended.
  4. We add the crab meat, the shrimp, and let it cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
  5. We add the rest of the fish broth, the sprig of epazote, and adjust the seasoning with salt. We let it cook for 10 more minutes.
  6. We serve our chilpachole.

Notes and Tips

We can serve our Shrimp Chilpachole with finely chopped onion and serrano pepper. We can also add drops of lime and diced avocado.
